Ben loves his walks. Walking your dog can be a relaxing way to spend time with your pet while also helping you to lose weight, lower your blood pressure, and to just have a better feeling of well-being. I used to think that Ben did not need to go for a walk because I had a nice backyard for him to run around in. That turned out to be untrue. He looks forward to both a morning and an afternoon walk. Soon after starting this twice a day ritual I realized that the walks were actually doing me a lot of good as well. I have arthritis and I feel much better and less stiff now that I am walking more. While we are out for our walks I take the time to stretch, think, and breathe deeply.
